In case of emergency
Call 01273 87 3333 immediately in case of an emergency, or visit the Security reception.
The Security reception is available at the north entrance to Bramber House, opposite the Student Centre. Security are available 24/7, 365 days a year.
Security are available to support with first aid, feeling unsafe, suspicious objects or persons, and any other related security emergencies.
Contacting Security in an emergency
In an emergency, call the Security team on 01273 87 3333 and a response team will attend immediately.
You can also phone Security for first aid assistance. If you need to call 999, please inform Security that you have done so immediately, and emergency services will be met at the entrance to campus and guided to the incident location.
Emergency phones are available outside and are marked by big blue flashing lights at night.
Security respond to requests for first aid and assist in obtaining an ambulance and/or police. They will respond to fire alarms and if necessary arrange for attendance of the fire service.
The alarm systems are tested every week in all buildings on campus.
A number of defibrillators are available across campus in case of emergency. Defibrillators are also stored in both the Security and University Emergency response vehicles.

Other emergencies
For any emergencies relating to buildings, equipment and facilities (e.g. a flood or power outage), please contact the Estates Helpdesk by phone at 01273 87 7777 in the first instance.
If you are a friend or family member and you urgently need to contact a resident living on campus, you can and our team will reach out to them on your behalf. We cannot share contact information or residence details of any resident living on campus.
