I believe our students are deeply affected by what is happening in the world and that their hearts are not neutral: They carry questions and inspirations for the future, but their intelligences need to be cared for. I would like to see a commitment to their life paths and the embodied impulses that become conscious when heart and head can come into relationship. My projects speak to the necessity to lead with relationality, not expertise, and to cultivate the sensibility to host the broader realities of a person so that their inner callings come into focus. I believe that teaching in this way enables the heart to release its unique love for the world. I now want to take this work of selfhood into community spaces and I wonder whether they are people out there who are willing to see education as the beginning of a path of meaning where the deep interest in each other also provides new impulses to the work culture of our times.聽
